What size of headstone should I order?
The most accurate method of determining the size dimensions of the headstone should begin by contacting Stone Headstone as we will can find out and give you the specifications according to the cemetery they are in. All Cemeteries each have their own set of requirements for allowed designs or styles, size dimensions, colour and often times, type of material. Unless it is in a family cemetery If you have further concerns or questions. Please contact our team and we are here to guide you through the process so we can honour your loved one.
What if the headstone is lost or damaged during shipping?
All of our headstones are carefully packaged to minimize the risk of damage. In the rare circumstance that your monument is lost or damaged, we will replace it at no cost to you. To ensure that we can replace the headstone as quickly as possible, please contact us (Phone # or email) as soon as possible so we can file a claim with our shipping agent.
How long does it take to make and install a headstone?
You should allow a minimum of 4-6 weeks from the time your deposit is paid for standard memorials this includes the time to get approvals of proofs and council approvals when required., however, custom made memorials will take longer to manufacture as these are made to order. Urgent orders are also acceptable with an additional cost.
Where does the stone come from and is it authentic?
Our memorials are made from 100% granite or Marble (if requested). The granite comes from countries as diverse as South Africa, Norway, China and India. We import the granite from reputable companies we have long term trading relationships with ensuring that our clients get the best quality. We work with clients who pay and look after there staff correctly.
What's your refund/cancellation policy?
Stone Headstones does not offer refunds in cases where you change your mind, find a comparable product or service elsewhere at a lower price, or due to alterations in your plans or circumstances. For further information, refer to our policy on consumer protection at www.consumerprotection.govt.nz
What languages can you engrave in?
Any language for which a font is available can be engraved on our headstones. For complex languages please send a file with the language/artwork to go one. I like to get creative in this to create memories that you can cherish.
What are your payment terms?
We require a 30% deposit to begin the design work and full payment is required prior to installation. Our prices are all GST exclusive we are also able to assist clients to have the best possible out for all.
